I am a UX strategist and PhD holder in computer science with a specialization in Human-computer Interaction (HCI - also called "UX") with over 8 years of experience in industry and research creating design, concepts, conducting usability testing and consulting. Currently based in Osaka, Japan, I have worked with institutions all around the world, mainly in Germany, Norway and Japan. Let me help you leverage your products to the next level.
Command is a "safer navigation" solution for mostly larger vessels to help spot objects for collision prevention using AI (ML, computer vision), integrating fusion via AIS and other sensors on board.
Connect is a digital solution to monitor fleet performance. It includes vessel voyage information, vessel status and alarm monitoring, CII and various other performance indexes.
Moselwal (Digital Agency) was looking to update their website to a modern look and feel that fits their vision and overall strategy. This project is ongoing, so the website is still WIP. The link provided below links to the previous website.
As part of my PhD project, the android app "DynQ" was developed. DynQ stands for Dynamic Questing and incorporated principles of game design into the context of learning and teaching, making use of modern technology such as smart watch and mobile sensors.
I worked on the project via moselwal GmbH; the client needed an app for their job portal and application management and consulting for some of their web pages.
Explainable AI (XAI) and UX have a lot in common. The research and application of this area is still in the exploration phases, but UI design and UX strategy can greatly benefit from a cooperation between the world of data and understanding of human perception. In this project, I worked with a PhD candidate to explore the usability of current XAI models of Bayesian networks.
JRCS Co. Ltd. is an established maritime company in Japan providing legacy products and digital solutions for safer navigation and the digitalization of the maritime industry.
My roles and work:
- Team Lead of the digital solutions UX team
- Management support for legacy products new project planning for digital ("infoceanus") and factory products
- UX architecture, concept, design, task management and UX QE
moselwal is a digital agency providing their custmers with the right solution via a flexible and highly specialised team. Their perojects range from complex systems for the public sector to e-commerce and individual solutions always focusing on sustainability and feasibility for the individual customers.

- UX design and strategy, in-house and for customers
- UX consultancy and review for customers
Over the years, I have continuously worked with mainly 2 universities: Osaka University (Japan) and University of Agder (Norway) in various projects. Projects include research, grant proposals, teaching as well as web design support and content (and UX flow) strategy for online courses.
